Let's get started!

Chapter 1:

Valve Basics Introduction

Explore our flagship products engineered for the most demanding temperature extremes.

What Are Industrial Ball Valves?

Industrial ball valves are quarter-turn valves designed to control the flow of liquids and gases in critical service conditions.

Unlike standard plumbing valves, industrial models are built from robust materials like cast steel and forged steel to withstand high pressures, extreme temperatures, and corrosive media.

They are essential components in pipelines and processing facilities where performance and durability are paramount for ball valves for high temperature applications and cryogenic processes.

Chapter 2:

  • Operating Temperature: -196°C to 350°C
  • Size Range: 1/2" to 48"
  • Pressure Class: 150LB to 2500LB
  • Applicable Media: Water, gas, oil products, natural gas, and corrosive media
  • Actuation Options: Manual, pneumatic, motor, hydro-dynamic

Ultra-High Temperature Ball Valve (Metal Seated)

For services exceeding the limits of soft-seated valves, our metal seat ball valve high temperature models are the definitive solution.

These ball valves for high temperature are engineered for reliability in the most demanding conditions. When you need a ball valve for high temperature service, our metal seated ball valves for high temperature deliver exceptional performance up to 800°F.

The robust construction makes it an ideal high pressure high temperature ball valve, perfectly suited for use as oil & high temperature process valves in refineries and power plants.

  • Operating Temperature: Up to 800°F (approx. 425°C)
  • Sealing: Hard-faced metal-to-metal contact between the ball and seat.
  • Design: Available in both Floating and Trunnion mounted configurations.
  • Key Feature: This ball valve high temperature model is unconditionally fire-safe and suitable for high-pressure service.
  • Leakage Standard: Meets ANSI/FC170-2 Class V for maximum allowable seat leakage.

Core Valve Technologies

Understand the key differences in valve construction to make a more informed choice.

Understanding Valve Designs: Forged vs. Cast and Floating vs. Trunnion

Core Design Features

Our industrial ball valves incorporate advanced features to ensure safety and reliability.
  • Fire-Safe Design: All valves are designed to be fire-safe according to API 607 & API 6FA standards. If the primary soft seats are destroyed in a fire, a secondary metal-to-metal seal is formed to prevent leakage.
  • Blow-Out Proof Stem: The stem features an integral T-type shoulder that is internally inserted, preventing it from being blown out by high internal pressure and ensuring sealing safety.
  • Anti-Static Device: A spring-and-plunger mechanism creates electrical continuity between the ball, stem, and body, grounding static electricity to prevent sparks and potential ignition in flammable environments.
  • Double Block and Bleed (DBB): Available in our trunnion mounted valves, this feature uses two independent seats to isolate the body cavity, allowing pressure to be vented for enhanced safety.
  • Emergency Sealant Injection: For trunnion valves, sealant can be injected through fittings on the stem and seat area to provide emergency sealing if the primary seals are damaged.
